Question:
Does anyone know the title of this song, and the album it's on?

I was listening to the radio the other day, and they were playing Christmas songs. There is a really beautiful one that was recorded by Glen Campbell. I checked the radio station's web page, and all they had listed was Glen Campbell (no title of the song was listed). I called the station, and the radio announce said it was his version of "Home for the Holidays." But when I listen to the lyrics, that song appears to be different.
If this is any help, one of the main recurring choruses in the song is "There's No Place Like Home." If anyone cal tell me the title and/or which album it's on I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Pan down the page at this link and listen to the sample. See if its what you are talking about. He originally did this song in 1968 os its hard to find the lyrics.

As I was browsing through Glenn Campbells Christmas albums online, I came across one that was titled "There's No Place Like Home"..and it isn't the popular version that you hear on the radio..not sure which version you are looking for. This strange version or the more popular version. Please clarify which version you are looking for...thanks :)

ok so the guy from the radio station told you it was called home for the holidays and then you say the lyrics include theres no place like home. the word "home" being in both of the 2 phrases. now im no flippin rocket scientist and aparently you never will be either but i would have to believe the radio guy on this one.

In the song "Home for the Holiday's" there is a line that says "There is no place like home for the holiday's." Maybe that's where the confusion comes in.

it could be home for the holidays.

or maybe it was from his album "home for the holidays"

------------

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays

'Cause no matter how far away your roam

If you long for the sunshine and a friendly gaze

For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home

I met a man who lived in Tennessee

And he was looking for

Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie

Now in Pennsylvania folks are traveling

Down to Dixie's sunny shore

The Atlantic to Pacific

Oh, the season is terrific

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays

For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home

They seem not to be selling it. Maybe you can find a copy on eBay.
