i'm just guessing, but from all the interviews and tv footage i have seen involving eddie and alex, seeems as though NO ONE will EVER be able to work with those guys... eddie's an alcoholic DIVA who hasn't done anything relevant musically since DLR left the first time. yes, he changed the rock guitar landscape forever, but that was over 25 years ago... he never evolved or expanded his gift... just a bitter drunk with an attitude and no appreciation for the talent that he was blessed with. and alex... lets be honest here people, if not for his last name and his brothers one time long since gone innovative guitar style, no one would know or care who he is. just another slightly above average timekeeper. how many drummers consider alex an influence...........?

i love old school van halen, but fair warning was the last good thing they did.... loooonng time ago.... i think dave should call steve vai and the bisonette brothers up and just plaaaayyyy... without the "sands through the hourglass" crap that vh inc. seem to radiate....

of direction not- he became the main unique and imaginitive guitarist in view that Hendrix. in spite of the reality that VH can get slightly uninteresting to me, there is not any denying his stunning potential. pay attention to the track i'm the only from the 1st checklist- fairly a 'how-to' primer for shred guitar. Or how appropriate to the intro to indicate Streets- killer stuff.
