pff, that's not real rock. =) if you like commercial stuff like that, let me give you some actual bands that you'll be able to find on limewire / online with no problem!

Allister- a pop punk band that doesn't suck! (yes, those exist--i don't know many of this band's songs, but i saw them live and they were pretty damn good)

Aquabats- a light hearted ska band that sings about lobster buckets and red sweaters. good for dancing & laughing. check out "pizza day" or "marshmellow man".

Big D & The Kids Table- a semi-unknown ska band from boston, that prides themselves on not being from LA

Bouning Souls- the harder side of pop-punk, which apparently put on a great show. check out "born free"

Kings of Leon- dancible indie. check out "molly's chambers"

Less Than Jake- fairly well known "ska". check out "ASAOK"

Mest- pop-punk that tries to be ska. although they don't do it very well, they do put on a pretty good show.

Patent Pending- ska / pop-punk that's very dancible and organic. check out "cheer up emo kid"--it's not their best song, but it's pretty damn funny

Rancid- commercialized punk at it's best! check out anything off of their "indestructible" cd--it's the most radio friendly

Reel Big Fish- a good ska band that makes fun of themselves in almost every song. check out "sell out" or their cover of "come on elleen" with gwen stefani

Zebrahead- check out their cover of the spice girls' "wannabee". 'nuff said.

those are some good transition bands--they're pretty light going, but they're 10x more original than anything on the radio! because if you want more along these lines, email me and i'll hook you up...

good luck with it all!
