Syd, one of the most genious musicians in all time,known as a musse like an inspiration to many musicians like David Bowie, Robert Smith(from The Cure who plays same guitar as Syd), Boy George( Culture Club),Paul McCartney (The Beatles), John Lennon (Beatles) and more...With his strange and wild way of makeing the music and the Lyrics of the songs he succeed to make Pink Floyd one of the most respected rock and roll bands in the history of the music.Every other member of the band Waters,Wright,Mason and Gilmour were adicted to Syd they were so lost when he left the band (cause of too much using LSD he got schizophrenia) that they meniton him his spirit and power to many songs they even dedicate an album to SYD and that is "Wish you were here".....
After Syd lead singer is David Gilmour which is ffaaaar away with the voice of Syd , cause Syd used to have one of the most strange vocal abylites of all time...

Syd Barrett is with Pink Floyd one and a half album then he continues a short period with solo albums and then he is gone forever.He passed away this year at 7th of July (R.I.P)
P.S: Don't listen to everyone , yes it's true tht Gilmour is the lead singer now but he is not a bit close to SYD even though he was his best friend from childhood.Oh yes Syd is from 1965 till 1968 with them, but his power and energy is with Pink Floyd till today and will be tomorow
