that is a very interesting myth actually. there is an album they had out called abbey road, where they walked in a line across the famous road.... maybe you are familiar with it. in the picture they are walking in lilne as follows: john, ringo, paul, and george. john is dressed as the preacher, ringo the pallbearer, then paul, and ending with george as a grave digger. each man is dressed to fit the part. there is a volskwagon beatle in the background with the license plate " 28 if LMW". 28 would have been pauls age at the release of the album if he were alive, and LMW is supposed to stand for linda mccartney weeps. also in the back ground you see a hearse. creepy huh. the paul we know now is said to be a look alike. weird stuff!

have you heard ,"i buried paul" at the end of strawberry fields forever? I believe it was started by George Martin as a joke and john really like the idea. Paul never did even though he is dressed as the walrus(a symbol of death in some cultures) on the cover of magical mystery tour. In '69 Paul came on tv to tell everyone he was ok. It also had something to do with the fact Paul was 27 in 69 and Jimi hendrix and janis joplin both died when they were 27

I found some website once that had a huge laundry list of facts that supposedly poinjted to the fact that Paul was replaced by a look alike at some point in the middle of their career. Kind of interesting if you can find it, and although the guy did make some good points, I just don't buy it. But is Tupac really dead....? lol

Is this the 1969 i remember reading about? If so apparently it was widely believed at the time and prompted Paul to come out with a 'rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated' statement.

Then as now I knew it was the biggest hoax in the history of music.

They were the best.

There were lots of lyrics and things on albums that make reference to his death.
