Question:
Help With a Band I am in.?

I am not the leader in this band but i am one of the two lead guitarists, and i dont exacly see eye to eye with the other lead guitar. Every practice we have we argue, even after a concert once we got into it. So what are some ways to try to convince the leader of my band to kick him out?

First, I would say confront the band member and the leader at the same time. Tell them what your beef is and try to resolve it. Two lead guitars? Sounds interesting lol. If that guy is still giving you trouble after you confront them together talk to the band leader and say that you want him gone... Be honest and straightforward.

have a deuling guitar off on stage at a show and whoever cheers the most gets to kick the other guy out of the band. or just start rumors that the other kid is gay

Bands need to be a democracy unless there is some sort of mediator outside the band. Ie Manager, A&R Rep, etc.

You can't make those decisions for other people. But you CAN be master of your own actions.

Why not quit the band and find one with less tension where you all can have a say?

just quit and form your own band. most bands with 2 guitars suck anyway.

Be better than him, then just say straight up, "it's me or him," and nothing else.
