Music recommendation sites?

Question

Can someone find me a good music recommendation site? One of the ones that say "if you like this band, you'll probably like that band" kind of thing, but not one where anyone can log on and put up the recommendations (those usually end up with someone putting "if you like Hannah Montana you will like Metalica"). Most preferably one for christian music, but really one that does music in general will be great. Please help?

Pandora and slacker are not available at my country...

But have found http://www.tv243.com a great alternative for it

your best bet is to go onto myspace music and look up your favorite artist. Check their top friends. Most of the time they are "featuring" someone well known in addition to what they actually like to listen to. Considering they are your favorite artist, they probably have the same taste in music.

http://www.last.fm/ you can type in a band name, and it will list similar artists



also, if you browse for music at amazon.com, christianbook.com, and familychristian.com, they will list other related products (cds) or other titles that may be of interest (similar type music)

there is a feature that does this on itunes

but it only works if you buy music on itunes



i dont know of any sites that do it
