I can't tell what the plus means. I don't think it means augmented here.

I agree, it seems weird for that to indicate an augmented chord, since technically there is no such thing as an augmented minor chord in conventional music theory (as the previous poster pointed out)...even then it would be written Em+, and not +Em. If you look at the song structure, all instances of "+Em" occur when "Em" is the last chord played on the preceeding line. If I would to hazard a guess, it might be some weird way of indicating that the first Em chord is held/sustained from the previous instance. Hard to say.

There's no such thing as +Em



Even if it did mean "minor augmented", there's no such thing as that either.



Think about it. E minor augmented would have the notes E G and B# in it. B# is the same thing as C, so you've got C E and G notes... it's a C major chord.
