Question:
Is there a product out on the market that changes the color of your drumset?

In other words... lets say you have a black drumset, but you saw this awesome red drumset at this show and want a red drumset without having to go out and buy a red one. Is there a "drum wrap" available on the market? The way I picture it, it would be a thin plastic wrapping offered in different colors, designs, or graphics that you could simply wrap on top of your current drum. It would have to have holes cut through it for the drum's hardware of course, but it would essentially completely change the look of your drumset without having to buy a completely new or customized drumset to suit your cosmetic tastes. If a product doesn't exist do you think it would be worth while to start a business making such a product?

There are several options you could explore.

There is drum wrap on the market that could use for your drums. Typically, it comes as a sheet that you cut to fit your drums and glue on.

Alternatively, you could use a wood stain, but this is a little more difficult and I don't think it will work if your drums are already stained. If they are wrapped and you want them stained, then you'll have to sand the wood and make sure there isn't any glue or other particles on it.

Check my sources below for more information on how to purchase and apply drum wraps and stains.

I don't know if it exists or not but I think that it is a really cool idea as long as it doesn't change the sound of the drums or anything like that.

yes they make them, but they arent temporary and there isnt a hole for the hardware, you have to take the hardware off, along with the old wrap. and then put the hardware back on.

Yes... I believe it's called "paint."
