Snow Patrol are a band from Northern Ireland who have had a reasonable amount of success in the UK over the year or so.
They are best known for their hit song "Run" and the ablum it came from "Final Straw".
Their success came as something of a surprise to alot of people, as they had been around for a number of years and released two previous albums in relative indie obscurity.
