In the history of music being a gay artist, was and is something that doesn't bother anyone. Does the Hip Hop and Metal community tries to tell us that there is absolutely no one gay artist in their music scene? Is that ever possible?

As a gay man who has worked in the music industry for over 20 years, I can say that the answer to your question is: there would be more than a few gay hip-hop and metal performers (as there are in any genre of music). Most of the time, these musicians don't make public their sexual preference for one of two reasons:

1. They don't want to alienate their fans (particularly true of metal and hip hop, I would suggest)

2. They don't want their sexuality to be the focus of their artistry. kd Lang and Melissa Etheridge have frequently said that while they are proud to be gay artists, they are not "poster children" for the gay movement.

Its not that it tries to tell you theres no gays, its people not accepting gays. I dont know about hip hop but there are gays in heavy metal, it is probably more accepted now than ever.

People put gays into a mould and dont think of them being a metal looking person, but there are gays in every type of music.

Ne-Yo isn't gay, that was a rumor. There's a photo circulating on the Internet where he took a picture with his camera phone of him receiving head from his backup dancer.

Rob Halford-Judas Priest (vocals)-Gay.

Freddie Mercury-Queen (vocals) -Gay.

PS: Freddie was openly gay near the end, and Rob came out in about 92. So I have not given you any rumors that they havent confirmed themselves.

Hip hop (i.e. Rap) was never expected to live, but it now defines world popular music.

Gay rap is well authenticated. But the homo version is mostly white boys looking for hot-looking blacks.

Dee Snider of Twisted Sister is gay. I know they aren't the hardest metal band ever, but try telling that to Tipper Gore.
