I purchased a song from itunes. It downloaded and played complete and just fine on their player but when I added it to my Windows Media Player, its missing portions of the song. I have deleted it from my library, redownloaded it and tried to add it again. It wont add the new download to my library now. So I deleted it from my Media Player AND my computer, redownloaded it and tried to add it but now the Media Player cannot find the song at all. I am at my wits end. I have updated both my itunes and Media Player and cannot think of what to do to be able to burn this song onto a cd or sync it to my MP3 player or even at this point put it back on my Media Player. I dont have an IPod so the only way I know to put the songs onto my MP3 player is to put it onto my Media Player. If anyone can help me with this or give me a way around using the Media Player, I would really appreciate it. My goal tho is to get the song on my M.P. and use it from there, cuz that is where all my other songs are at. Thanks:)

To play DRM protected iTunes music on a non-Apple MP3 player or phone, you need to convert the iTunes music to MP3 files first. The easiest way is to burn an audio CD in iTunes and rip it back as MP3. Or you can get DRM media converter to help you. It works great for removing DRM from iTunes music and converting iTunes music to mp3.

That's because song purchased from Itunes are DRM protected. Apple don't want you to play the song on other computer or non apple MP3 player. so they add the DRM that will prevent other player from playing your device

i know it is crazy. You paid for the song. However you agree their term and condition whenever you buy song from them. Unless you get a program to remove the DRM, you can't play them in other place

Convert the song to a WAV version.

First:

To convert a song’s file format:

Choose Edit > Preferences, click General, and click Import Settings.

In the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the format you want to convert songs to, and click OK to save the settings.

Select one or more songs in your library and choose Advanced > Create Format Version. Select WAV

Then in the Library, right click the song and "Create WAV version" Then right click it again, click Get Info. Make a note of the folder then copy from that folder to Media Player.

Now wasn't that simple?
