Lately, i have been growing tired listening to today's music, don't get me wrong; I think we have pretty awesome artist in our generation. It's just that most song are kind of getting over-commercialized and over-done. I've been listening to older artist but I really want to get re-connected with today's music. I've been listening to this great singer who I think does not get enough credit she deserves, her name is Alexz Johnson. I still need more of today's artist though....any suggestions?

P.S It does not have to be Alexz Johnsons genre. I'm open to any suggestions.

Try some

Elliot Smith

Chick Corea

Edwin McCain (he's not popular any more, but still does great stuff),

Corrine Baily Rae

Pearl Jam

Foo Fighters

Ricky Skaggs

Allison Krause

Radiohead.

As for yesteryear...

edit:

Also try Ray Lamontagne - "Trouble" is one of my new favorite songs but is older I think.

and if you want some funny music listen to Tim Wilson.

I think it depends highly on your taste in music.

However some pretty great band(s)/musician(s) are,

Cute Is What We Aim For,

Modest Mouse,

Regina Skeptor,

Kate Nash,

Natasha Beningfield,

The Hush Sound,

Lost Prophets,

Gavin Degraw,

Panic At The Disco,

Maroon 5,

David Archuleta,

and One Republic

are all pretty amazing.

btw, The Jonas Brothers are

pretty amazing too.

many people don't give them

a real chance, but they are

very great and are taking

over the music industry and

are very popular among

the teen generation.

I am all over the board with music. Lately, i have been really into some trance/rave music. Try DJ S3RL, or DJ Inphinity. "Pretty Rave Girl" is one by S3. "Superman" by Inphin. Also look at Tune Up!, Basshunter, etc.

You might like some of it. Try it out.
