Those artists represent many different genres.

Personally I dont like to categorize my musical tastes into categories, as I tend to like music that bleeds into different styles.

You have some alternative in there, modern rock, Indi-pop/rock, techno-pop and quite a number of them that I dont recognize! Queen is considered classic rock.

If you want to be able to tell people what you are "into" Id say indi-rock and modern rock.

I like the artists that I recognize on there, Im goign to jot down the others and check them out. Thanks!!!

That's a large, LARGE variety.

Some of those groups play new wave, while others play garage rock and indie rock.

"What would a genre be called if i liked alot of music that sounds like its from like the 60/late 70's"

Again, there's a large variety of music genres from that time period. My favorite type of music actually comes from that time period and I can tell you that psychadelic rock was very popular back then. Groups like The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath were big back then. But it really depends on what you like though.

I see a wide variety of genres in your list. Daft Punk are a electronic dance band. The Cure are known as a goth band.

The B-52s were called a 'new wave' band (at least back in the 80s they were). Queen did everything from hard rock to funk to rock-a-billy!

Nobody bothered to even think of Beethoven or Mozart. True art. When music really was a masterpiece...

Most of those are indie/alternative, but you can just type their names into http://www.wikipedia.org and find the genre.
