Hey guys.
Im an 18 year old Tenor Saxophone Music Major.
I have been networking with other players and such, and a lot of them keep asking me for recordings.
I do have any software on my computer to record with. I have used audacity in the past but i dont like it at all i need something with more professional quality. Do you guys know any cheap recording software that would allow me to record some tracks at a decent quality? Im willing to spend some money because im a musician. (under $200 would be great ) I also need a mic? A cheap recording mic would be okay, just something besides a webcam that i have been recording off of, it stinks !

Thanks a lot guys in advance !

A good software under $200 is cakewalks music creator 5.

Its easy to use, simple navigation, comes with virtual instruments, separate tracks for each instrument, an on screen mixer and much more.

Even better go to the yahoo search bar and type in this exactly:

CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER PLATINUMPRO/BEST PRICE

This is an older model soundcard for your computer and it has all the jacks for all instruments. You wont need to buy amps, and it has Midi. It has a music studio recording program that comes in the box FREE so you wont need to buy that.

The card should cost you between $150-200 and then you'll have EVERYTHING you ever dreamed you could want to use. It has inbuilt effects like reverb and echoe and distortion, it even has MIDI files of drum rhythms you can use in your pieces. Seriously, it has everything!

Don't forget to get some new 2.1 speakers too! And you can get away with a cheaper mike, just keep some distance between the bell on the sax and the mike itself and it should be fine. If you're recording the sax accoustically try and do it late at night when theres no background tv or traffic noise or birds flying over/

All the best

I use FL Studio which is good quality. It has recording capabilities but it also has many more features that actually let you create your own music. You can download the demo from their site to give it a try: http://flstudio.image-line.com/

You can get the Producer Edition which has all the features like live recording for under $200. In fact they offer a promotion for new customers to get 10% off their first order. Here is the link to get the discount: https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=EDAJCI416 With the discount you can get it for $179.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your recordings!

professional strategies is an rather commonplace DAW used for greater advantageous than merely pop and electronica. FL is additionally used to record and combine. Sonor by utilising Cakewalk is likewise a good DAW. in case you desire something low cost yet effective, take a glance at Mixcraft by utilising Acoustica. FYI - digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) are not categorised by utilising genres of music. and that i'm confident you could blend u . s . a . music in Ableton merely wonderful.
