Ok.....I'm gettin into this i guess u could call funk, or jazz.....bass players like stanley clarke, bootsy collins, etc....what is some other songs that has sum good bass lines.....??? any suggestions

try starting from Jaco Pastorious and Marcus Miller and then you can try stuffs by Victor Wooten,Flea,etc

Heaps of resources on the net and at your local uni, college or music store. Find a jazz course and go to that school. By the way I agree, bass player do need help. NMIT have a good course.
