what do you think is the first thing you should learn when learning to play the Acoustic guitar? I really need some help getting started.

learning the Basic guitar chords like
E, A, B, G, F, C, and D

pace yourself and go at your own pace when learning guitar.
try out different guitar picks, FREE guitar lessons on Youtube
and your local library with FREE "How to play guitar" books.
Get a Guitar Techer if you can afford one too.
work on playing a good strumming rythtm first...worry about all the other fancy stuff later.

start learning the basic chords, play them a few month, then go on for arpegios, this is the most hard technique when u'r playing the acoustic guitar.
i have no idea about the way that you want to play, anyways, start playing, 4 non blonde's music, practice a lot, to improve your playing, try some fingerpicking style. cheers

When you are first learning any instrument, your best bet would to be to learn notes. I have a really good friend who plays the electric, and only learned by listening, now he wants to play the accoustic guitar, and is learning the notes. Your best bet would to LEARN THE NOTES FIRST. They really help. also a teacher would be nice, find someone for cheap if they are in your school or job.

pretty easy.you can get good guitar lessons off of youtube,and HBO.also guitar center has a begenners guitar guide for about $60,plus a little guitar =]
