Hi. This is yet again another amp question.
Basically I am still looking for a good amp for small gigs and practice. I was looking at some micro tube head models. I was looking at the Vox Night train and the Orange Tiny Terror. If anyone has a good speaker to go with them please could you recommend it. I have a saturday job (as I am still at school) and have saved up for a while meaning that about the max I could stretch to would be around £500.

I don't want to go into massively expensive tube amps because I really don't think I need it.
However I was also looking at some combo models. Like the Roland cube 60 or the line 6 spider 4.

If anyone has anymore combo or micro tube recommendations please tell me :)

Thanks for the help :)

sounds like your still struggling to make your mind up,unless you really know what your looking for (or can afford a dual rectifier, etc) i would still stick with the modeling amps, they get as close as you need and offer the versatility on their own,yes the vox and orange amps are great sounding amps they are pretty much one trick ponies

Small gigs and practice, well what do you play?

I'm assuming metal, try the Peavey Vypyr series, but the effects on them may need pedals for fast switching, so don't go playing a gig and try to switch effects in the middle of a song through the amp lol.

i've been using the line6 spider 212 for seven years now and also have one of the mini spider 3 practice amps. they get a great tone, they're very customizable, and despite how violent our shows can get, i've never had one break down on me. you can't go wrong for the price.
