I've been playing acoustic guitar for a year now, and about three months ago I got an electric guitar. But its a used, cheap, and horrible quality yamaha electric guitar. So I want to get a new one. Because, I'm am literally addicted to guitar. And I play it twenty for seven, so whats a nice electric guitar, thats under like 350 dollars, that I can buy to last me a while.
Thanks

$350 well thats not too bad

1.a schecter c-1 plenty of used ones around for 350 great quality and playability for the $ **** other schecters ***

2.a mexican fender strat not the quality of a USA strat but close enough for a beginner ***

3. gibson epiphone models sg or les paul **

4. ibanez **

5. parker p44 or other parkers***

6. hagstrom **

I buy most of my guitars used because you don't loose any money when you decide to trade up. Ive actually built a collection (30+) over the years and invested very little money through wise buying and selling.

My favs: parker usa fly, usa fender strat, heritage blues deluxe, prs

Fender Standard Strats and Teles used to be about $350. Now, however, they're more like $430. There is an alternative--Squier by Fender. I honestly can't recommend anything but a Fender or a Squier for an electric other than Crook Custom Guitars, which start at somewhere over $1,000. Anyway, if I were you, I'd go with with a Squier Standard Strat or Tele. Also, enjoy browsing through the links I've included!

what kind of music are you into? The type of guitar you get should be specific to that question. Different electric guitar / amp combinations give different tones and capabilities. For example, if you like heavy metal, a fender stratacaster is not a good option. Instead, you would want to go with something like an ibanez or jackson for that style.

Figure out what you like to play and ask a guy at the music store to help you pick out an affordable rig that will be suitable to the music tastes you want to play.

Fender strat is a good all around electric though if you don't have a preference. It's very versatile and has a big range of tone options to play with. My strat is one of the mid range ones (not an standard american strat and not a cheapo squire). I've had it for over 10 years and it's still in decent shape. I think I paid around 300 or so bucks for it back then.

well i'm a bassist...

Squier (Fender's little brother... lower class but still good quality if you do your shopping) Ibanez, Epiphone (by Gibson it is slightly lower class but you can still find great guitars)

are good places to being your search, as well as Fender and Gibson themselves (although they get so expensive)

go to a local music store where you'll actually get good advice, and try a bunch... try to narrow down your selction and style first then once you have down a few possible models go home and search them online from MULTIPLE sources.

you could also consider getting a used guitar, as many have minor cosmectic blemishes but you can get something worth much more than what you pay for... good luck!

I would consider buying an Ibanez guitar. Here is a link for guitars in your price range: http://www.ibanezguitarcentre.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=592

Also, eBay is a great source for buying instruments cheaply

Hope this helped.
