This amazing guy wrote a song about his irrational fear of being transported randomly to the Middle Ages. And I'm totally hip to the Wizard Rock thing. But I'm looking for more stuff like that. Songs that go beyond the weirdness of most weird songs, and are just about crazy awesome stuff. Like those people who summarize LOST episodes in songs! I really really like time travel, so if anyone has any time travel songs, I'm thrilled. Anything, though. Frogs. How hard it is to eat granola fast. Movies. Nerd things. Toenail polish. Just tip me off to some bizarre music. And I really enjoy it when songs are about books or movies.

Check out They Might Be Giants. Very different stuff.

Songs range from Particle Man to Instanbul not Constantinople to Mr. Claw to I'll Sink Manhattan. They had some hits back in the 90's.

Their stuff is (was) kinda out there. A plus when it comes to vernacular as well.
