Question:
What music should I put on a compilation for my mum?

I'm going on a road trip at the weekend with my mum and I fancy taking some tunes along that we'll both enjoy, problem is that she's really fussy. She hates music generally with occasional exceptions - so far its things like: Animals, house of the rising sun, bit of Simon and Garfunkle too. Oh, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and the Proclaimers. She hates 'modern music' and was born in 1950 so I'm guessing things from that time are best. But she was a total hippy so didn't like anything like Elvis or loud stuff haha. I don't know - suppose that's why I'm asking, I don't know what to use so could anyone suggest anything?

Nine inch nails, Spice girls, The Ramones & The Pixies

At least she would have something to moan about (Mum's like nagging)!

Ooh what about

Free-alright now, that's a classic.

Rolling Stones-Paint it Black

Beatles-In My Life

Moody Blues-Nights In White Satin

ELO-Living Thing

Rainbow-Since You've Been Gone

I'd love a compilation of all of them!

I'll have a think about that some more, but that's wicked having a hippy mother = )
